This is a reminder to any apprentices traveling to work outside of NB. When you are having tasks signed off in your Progress Record Books, it needs to be signed by a journeyperson from NB for the following reasons:

Under the current Apprenticeship Act (June 2012), a journeyperson means a person who holds a certificate of qualification or a diploma of apprenticeship issued under this Act.

Therefore, any supervising journeyperson MUST hold a certification issed by the province of NB.

Effective immediately, completions will not be processed unless the tasks are signed off by a NB journeyperson.

If you have any questions, please contact Rick Smith at the JATC.
